How does the anti snoring device work?(Edited extract from Silensor website) Studies have shown that approximately 40% of the population of the industrialised countries snore and that this increases to 60% in men above the age of 60.

The SILENSOR makes use of the fact that the throat space is enlarged when the lower jaw is moved forwards. In fact this is a technique used by medics to open a patient's airway, they pull the lower jaw forwards and the patient can breath easier.
The SILENSOR consists of two separate
clear plates made in either hard or soft materials which fit over the
upper and lower arches. The splints are connected by two connectors which gently pull the lower jaw forwards, as it does this it keeps your airways open and the snoring stops.

The connectors come in 4 lengths and we usually start with length number 2. If you don't feel the benefit we can use a shorter or longer connector to move the lower jaw to become as effective and comformtable as possible.
