To complement the highly aesthetic veneers we are also able to do inlays and full crowns. These crowns are the prefered option when the underlying tooth is a natural colour, dentine bonding is required for fitting.

For the best laser scan and fit a shoulder preparation is required. 

The die and model is laser scanned in the laboratory and rendered to a 3D image on the computer screen. The dentine is then precision milled from a  block of the chosen shade using a Vita milling block. 

Once the dentine is milled it is shaped to provide space for the enamel which is then layered using different pearl, blue and translucent effects. 

The crown will then be returned to you etched and silaned ready for dentine bonding.


About the material:



The dentine with i-esthetic ® is made using VITABLOCS Mark II which are made of fine-particle feldspar ceramic. They have been clinically proven time and time again and demonstrate wear characteristics corresponding to those of natural tooth enamel. They are easy to polish due to their homogeneous microstructure and demonstrate consistent material quality as a result of the standardized manufacturing procedure.  To meet the exacting standards of Patient and Dentist Vita's latest range of Ceramics VM9 are used to reproduce the subtle colouring and effects found in the natural enamel.-----
